No Photoshop needed

If your skin doesn’t look as healthy and young as you want it to because of acne scars, sun damage, or the effects of aging, laser skin rejuvenation can help. Say no to wrinkles, lines, blotches and scars—and hello to a younger looking appearance.

Microneedling and growth factors stimulate your body’s collagen and elastin production to tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin. Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, minimize pores and stretch marks, tighten “crepey” skin, and reduce acne or surgical scarring.

Laser skin rejuvenation is sometimes called laser skin resurfacing or a laser peel. It’s a non-invasive procedure that can minimize the appearance of scars, wrinkles, fine lines and pigmentation issues without surgery.

Precisely controlled laser light is directed at problem skin, allowing us to delicately treat your skin layer by layer. Our Icon Aesthetic System offers high peak power and state-of-the-art cooling, and the proprietary Skintel® Melanin Reader provides faster, “just for you” treatments.

Patients with small wrinkles or fine lines around the mouth and eyes are usually good candidates. Shallow acne scars also respond well to treatment.

The entire process is safe and effective; you can expect some downtime after the procedure but soon your biggest problem will be getting used to all the compliments.

Laser skin rejuvenation—also called laser skin resurfacing—uses laser light to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, birthmarks, age spots, and sun-damaged skin. It is one of the most popular aesthetic procedures in country.

The Icon Aesthetic System we use at Physician Artistry has a number of highly technical features designed to make your laser treatment safe and effective. For example, Advanced Contact Cooling™ keeps the skin being treated at a temperature of 5° Celsius during the procedure for comfort and protection. The Smooth Pulse™ light delivery system lets us use more energy for better results. And Skintel Melanin Reader determines the average melanin density of your skin prior to treatment, so we improve your skin—not change it.

Immediately after the treatment, your skin will look sunburned and red—but these symptoms should diminish within 3–5 days. It may be briefly uncomfortable but this feeling will also disappear. We’ll provide you with care instructions; since your skin will be very sensitive to the sun following treatment, it will be important that you follow these directions exactly.

If you’re a good candidate for laser resurfacing, you can expect the appearance of smoother, more radiant skin. Many patients report a decrease in hyper pigmentation, a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and a smoothing out of scars. As with all procedures, your results may vary.

After your laser skin rejuvenation procedure

It will be important to keep the treated area clean and moisturized. We’ll give you instructions on how to do this. You may experience swelling. This is normal. You may also feel minor itching or stinging for a couple of days after laser skin rejuvenation. Then after about a week your old skin will start to peel. This is also normal. Full healing can take up to three weeks, so you’ll need to take good care of your skin during this time.

Avoid using retinoids or glycolic acid until we tell you that you can. Most important of all you’ll need to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an appropriate SPF factor (higher than 30). Minimize your time in the sun for up to 12 months after treatment. Dr. Bruce Thomas, founder of Physician Artistry, has successfully helped hundreds of women and men with laser skin rejuvenation.
